Albany man arrested for cocaine possession on Thruway


WOODBURY – An Albany man was committed to the Orange County Jail on Monday, March 11 after being stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation on the Thruway in the Town of Woodbury.

State Police said David Jones, 31, was found in possession of some 186 grams of cocaine.

Jones was charged criminal possession of a controlled substance as a felony and a second count of possession with intent to sell. He was also charged with vehicle and traffic violations.  He was sent to the Orange County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
