Former local cop surrenders on grand larceny charge

POUGHKEEPSIE – A former police officer in Fishkill, the Town of Highlands and the Village of Highland Falls, turned herself in to State Police at Wappingers Falls.

Lori Bailey, 48, of Highland Falls, was indicted by a Dutchess County grand jury on a grand larceny charge for allegedly embezzling $36,720 from the Village of Fishkill Police Department’s PBA while she served as its treasurer.

A warrant was issued for her arrest and she surrendered to State Police on Tuesday.

The day before, Bailey was in Orange County Court to face similar charges while she served as a part-time Highland Falls police officer.
