Poughkeepsie man arrested for stealing Putnam County donation box

CARMEL – A Poughkeepsie man was arrested after he allegedly stole a donation box containing money from the Appalachian Market in the Town of Philipstown.

Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the market on January 10 for a report of a larceny. It was reported that the night before the Putnam County SPCA donation box was stolen from the store.

Following an investigation Christopher Rodriguez, 20, of Poughkeepsie was arrested and charged with petit larceny. He was arraigned and released pending a future court appearance.
