Poughkeepsie warrant search leads to four drug arrests

POUGHKEEPSIE – Four people who live at 17 South Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie were arrested on Tuesday following a warrant search that yielded drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia.

The Poughkeepsie Police Department Neighborhood Recovery Unit and Emergency Services Unit executed the search warrant at Apartment 2 in the city and arrested Luis Reyes, 27, Whitney Burris, 28, Destiny Pena, 24, and Jennifer Romer, 46, all on felony drug charges.

Officers recovered and seized over 10 grams of crack cocaine, about 10 grams and 30 envelopes of heroin, over $9,400 in cash, phones, scales, packaging material, and other items associated with the sale and distribution of controlled substances.

Residents with information about drug dealing or suspicious activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit at 845-451-4060.
