New date for demolition of old TZ Bridge

NYACK - Tappan Zee Constructors has rescheduled the controlled demolition of the old Tappan Zee Bridge's east anchor span for Tuesday, January 15 at about 10 a.m., weather permitting.

TZ Constructors continues to work with local, state and federal agencies on the controlled demolition and subsequent operations to remove the steel from the Hudson River.

Blowing up the last section of the old bridge was scheduled for this Saturday, but extremely windy conditions late in the week prevented necessary preparatory work.
