Man arrested in convenience store robbery attempt

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A Clintondale man is under arrest, charged with attempted armed robbery at the Stewart’s Shop on Route 52 in the Town of Newburgh.

Micke Fields, 19, was arrested by Newburgh Town Police on Thursday, January 10 in connection with the crime that occurred at 5:30 a.m. on January 3. He was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.

Newburgh Town Police were assisted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, the URGENT Task Force and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.
