New Windsor man charged with threatening federal judge and prosecutor

NEW YORK – A New Windsor man is charged with threatening a US district judge and an assistant US attorney while in federal court.

On November 30, 2018, Clint Edwards, 28, was sentenced in federal court on a separate criminal charge. He disrupted the sentencing proceeding by threatening to assault, murder and otherwise harm the US district judge who was imposing the sentence and the assistance US attorney who was prosecuting the case.

Edwards is charged with one count of threatening to assault and murder a judge and one count of threatening to assault and murder a federal law enforcement officer. Each count carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
