Saratoga man arrested in Columbia County for grand larceny


CHATHAM – State Police arrested a Saratoga man on a felony charge of grand larceny after he was paid as a contractor to perform services for a Chatham business but did not perform the work.

Nicholas Scialdone, 52, was hired by the local business, received and cashed three checks totaling over $90,000, but allegedly never performed the work as agreed upon.

He was released on $10,000 cash bail pending a future court appearance.
