Westchester inmate convicted of assaulting correction officer


WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man was found guilty following a jury in Westchester County Court of assaulting a correction officer at the county jail.

Paul Overton, 36, faces up to seven years in state prison when sentenced in March.

On July 19, 3027, he assaulted the officer after failing to comply with several orders by punching, biting and struggling with him.
