Commercial developer expands Middletown tenant base

MIDDLETOWN – An Amazon distribution center has been operating in the City of Middletown for over a year and another commercial business will be joining it in the Midland Avenue Extension commercial area.

Property owner Israel Eisdorfer has leased space in the former Flanagan Building to the EZ-Go golf cart company to be used as a distribution center.

The Amazon operation had been located there, but will be moved to an adjacent building, he said. Also at the site is a movie and performance studio and Eisdorfer said he will move Amazon into that space temporarily until he can locate the business into another nearby location.

Recently the sound stage was used for a couple of months for rehearsals by the Metropolitan Opera.

Eisdorfer said Warner Brothers is in talks about using the movie studio for eight to nine months to shoot a movie.
