Galileo group pulls out of Ulster IDA administration arrangement

KINGSTON – The Galileo Technology Group, which runs the administration of the Orange County Industrial Development Agency and its Accelerator program, has opted not to perform the same functions for the Ulster County IDA.

That agency board earlier this week named Galileo to handle their administrative functions for five months. Galileo Managing Partner Vincent Cozzolino immediately assigned a member of his staff not involved in the Orange County IDA work to handle Ulster County.

On Friday, Cozzolino said his company was “well-intentioned to assist the Ulster County IDA on an interim basis,” but he said, he learned through media reports this week of “the deeper issues between the IDA and county executive.” Therefore, he said on Friday that “my firm will not be moving forward with the IDA and focus on other opportunities.”

The Ulster IDA Board had planned already on issuing a request for proposals to select an administration team going forward.
