ORMC cafeteria back in business

TOWN OF WALLKILL – The cafeteria kitchen at Orange Regional Medical Center is up and running. It was taken out of service after a small fire erupted at mid-morning on Thursday.

Hospital spokesman Rob Lee said it is suspected that gas from the burner that an employee was using flared. The worker received minor burns and was treated and released from the hospital’s emergency department.

Lee said the facility has been inspected by the Orange County Department of Health, and the town fire and building inspectors, all of whom have determined the kitchen was safe for operation.
