SUNY New Paltz student charged with killing mom, disposing body

NEW YORK – A SUNY New Paltz student from Manhattan stands accused of enlisting the aid of his two girlfriends to kill his mother and dispose of her body in a garbage can.

Authorities allege that Jared Eng, 22, slashed his mother’s throat and with the aid of the two women, drove Paula Chin’s body to Morristown, New Jersey, where the three disposed of it.

Eng, Caitlyn O’Rourke, 21, and Jennifer Lopez, 18, are all charged with participating in disposing of the body and trying to cover up the crime.
