State Police issue alert for Erick Grigoroff

POUGHKEEPSIE – Erick Grigoroff, 28, the twin brother of twice convicted murderer Anthony Grigoroff, is wanted by State Police for allegedly assaulting several people and causing serious trauma with a knife. He is believed to be armed and Hicks noted should be considered “extremely dangerous.”

The former Lake Peekskill resident faces charges of felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to State Police Troop K Public Information Officer Trooper A.J. Hicks.

Erick Grigoroff is five feet, six inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and hazel colored eyes.

This is not the first time Erick Grigoriff is in the news.

Erick was present when John Marcinak, a well respected businessman, community leader and husband and father, who owned the Garrison Garage, was fatally shot outside the business on New Year’s Eve Day 2008.

Anthony Grigoroff is serving 25 years to life in a maximum security state prison for committing the crime.

A second trial was needed after the Appellate Division of State Supreme Court ruled in 2015 that issues related to evidence regarding a separate shooting involving Erick Grigoroff' two months prior to Marcinak’s death as well as testimony during the first trial from a witness who heard third-hand that Erick was involved, combined to prejudice that jury.

Anyone with information regarding Erick Grigoroff is asked to contact State Police at either 914-769-2600 or Troop K headquarters at 845-677-7300. All calls will be kept confidential.
