Town of Poughkeepsie creates Climate Smart Task Force, seeks members

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – The Town of Poughkeepsie is continuing its efforts as part of its Climate Smart Communities Pledge and has created a Climate Smart Task Force.

The State Department of Environmental Conservation has encouraged the creation of the local Climate Smart Task Force and to use the state agency to provide the town with information about implementing climate smart initiatives. This will be tasked to identify funding sources for projects and paybacks from investments.

The Town is currently seeking volunteers for this task force. Resumes are to be emailed to jbaisley@townofpoughkeepsie-ny.gov - Subject: Climate Smart Task Force.
