Poughkeepsie man arrested on felony drug charges

POUGHKEEPSIE – A Poughkeepsie man was arrested by State Police on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both as felonies.

Following a long-term investigation by the Troop K Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, William DeGaetano, also known as “Billy,” was arrested on Friday, April 5. When police executed a search warrant at his residence, they found some 175.5 grams of cocaine and 352 grams of controlled stimulants in pill form.

DeGaetano was sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
