Poughkeepsie man arrested for felony drug possession


POUGHKEEPSIE – A police response to a reported domestic incident in a car on Orchard Street in the City of Poughkeepsie resulting in the arrest of a man on drug charges.

Poughkeepsie City and State Police located the vehicle around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11. As the occupants were being interviewed, police spotted several glassine envelopes used to package heroin. They also found the man, Anthony Haylett, 31, in possession of some 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, 0.51 grams of heroin, two grams of Suboxone, scales, plastic packaging bags, a box of glassine envelopes, and a glass pipe used to smoke crack cocaine.

Haylett was sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
