TOWN OF WALLKILL – As a huge storm strengthens in the Atlantic, taking dead aim on the Carolina coast, Pets Alive staff and volunteers are working to arrange the transport of dogs from Horry County Animal Care Center in Conway, South Carolina.

Pets Alive, headquartered in the Town of Wallkill, is working with Brother Wolf Animal Rescue of Asheville, North Carolina to help Horry County Animal Care Center in rural South Carolina, which is at capacity and in the direct path of the storm, by bringing some of their dogs to safety and out of the way of the oncoming storm.

Brother Wolf’s transport team left Monday and was expected to arrive in Orange County early today.
