POUGHKEEPSIE – A 36-year-old City of Poughkeepsie man is in the hospital where he was treated for multiple gunshot wounds. The injuries are serious, but not life-threatening, police said.

Following the shooting near 82 Academy Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, several people believed involved were seen running into an apartment at 62 Montgomery Street.

Officers detained four people and secured the apartment they ran into. A search warrant for the apartment revealed a handgun and heroin.

The four, Quran Seignious, 27, Nemai Riviere, 28, Charles Erskine, 21, and Odell Manning, 39, all of New York City, were charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both as felonies. Manning was also charged as a parole absconder.

Police believe another person also involved in the shooting fled the area and may be back in New York City.
