ELDRED – The new owners of the Eldred Preserve in the Town of Highland plan on opening the rebuilt facility, closed for a few years, in August 2019 in time for the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival.

Dan and Joan Silna plan to develop the property on Route 55 into an entertainment hub for the local community and draw visitors to Sullivan County.

Silna is a pioneer in the textile industry and a former co-owner of the American Basketball Association’s Spirits of St. Louis.

The project will weave the preserve with the Bradstan Country Hotel and The Old Homestead Restaurant.
