Crawford Police warn residents of thefts from vehicles

CRAWFORD – The Crawford Police Department has issued an advisory to residents to beware of several thefts from vehicles in the town.

Police also advise that there have been two break-ins at local businesses.

On all these matters, through investigation and collaboration with the Walden Police and other law enforcement partners, suspects have been identified and in most cases apprehended on other charges. Upon completion of the investigations appropriate charges will be filed.

Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity to 911 or 845-744-5000.  Persons may also use the confidential tip line at 845-744-HINT.

Police everywhere advise common sense precautions to prevent car burglaries.  Never leave valuables in sight, including shopping bags, packages, cellphones, GPS units or other electronics.
