Wallkill, Otisville get state grants

ALBANY – The Town of Wallkill has been awarded a $100,000 grant for construction of a wash bay for its public works vehicles. The grant “will ensure that DPW is best equipped to serve the town’s residents,” said Supervisor Edward Diana.

The Village of Otisville will get $50,000 for the purchase of a heavy-duty tractor. Otisville Mayor Brian Wona said the grant for the tractor will afford the town the ability to perform “much needed work all year round.”

Both grants were secured by Senator John Bonacic through the State and Municipal Facilities Program funded in the 2018-19 state budget.
