Warwick man charged in NYC assault after alt-right event

NEW YORK – A Warwick man was arrested by New York City Police in connection with an assault that followed an October 12 event held by a far-right men’s group.

Jake Freijo, 26, is the eighth person to be arrested in connection with an assault that took place after the event.

Freijo was charged with riot and assault in connection with the incident.

Shortly after the assault, three people were arrested and charged. Four more men were arrested later in the month.
