Bronx man arrested with cocaine, rat poison following Thruway traffic stop

TOWN OF WOODBURY – A Bronx man was arrested late Wednesday afternoon following a traffic stop on the Thruway in the Town of Woodbury.

State Police said the driver, Rodolfo Castro, 39, was found in possession of some 3.5 grams of cocaine and approximately 75 grams of boric acid – which is used as rat poison if consumed internally.

Castro was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance; imitation controlled substance – manufacture/sell, as a misdemeanor; unlawful possession of marijuana as a violation; felony violation of probation or parole; and a vehicle and traffic violation.
