Man found dead in Middletown is identified

MIDDLETOWN – A man found dead along railroad tracks in a wooded area of Middletown has been identified as Lizandro Aguirre-Corrales, 50, of Middletown.

His body was discovered on Tuesday afternoon by a student walking home from school.

Middletown Police Chief John Ewanciw said there were no signs of foul play or trauma. The exact cause of death is awaiting toxicology tests.

The chief said Aguirre-Corrales had been at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, but was reported missing in late October. He was later spotted at a bodega in Middletown.

Recently a family member reported him missing to the police.
