Over 130 to lose their jobs as New Windsor company closes

NEW WINDSOR – A total of 136 employees at LSI Industries, Inc. at 500 Hudson Valley Avenue in New Windsor will lose their jobs when the high-tech lighting manufacturer closes its doors by mid-2019.

A state Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification said the company will be transferring production to its Erlanger, Kentucky and Blue Ash, Ohio facilities.

Layoffs will begin on January 28, 2019 and will be completed by June 30, the report said.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 363 represents the soon to be displaced employees.
