Three shot, wounded in Poughkeepsie - Update!

POUGHKEEPSIE – Gunshots rang out in the Winnikee Avenue-Mansion Street area of the City of Poughkeepsie Thursday night with three people wounded.

The victims - two from Spring Valley and one from Hyde Park - were taken to both MidHudson Regional Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in private vehicles. None of them suffered life-threatening injuries.

Both hospitals were placed on lockdown for a time.

None of the victims could provide police with a description of the shooters, of from where the shots were fired. Shell casings and a handgun have been located at the scene as police continue to investigate.

They told police they were in Poughkeepsie to shoot a music video.

This shooting occurred one day after a Pawling man, Matthew Conti, was shot in the leg while he was in his car on Catharine Street on Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 845-451-7577.
