Four teens arrested for home invasion robbery

HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Four teens are under arrest following a home invasion robbery at a house on Lenart Place in Hopewell Junction.

At 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, East Fishkill Police responded to a call of a break-in in which four people had forced their way into a man’s home and robbed him before fleeing the scene.

Responding officers located two suspects in a car parked down the street and two others fled into a wooded area.

State Police responded with a K-9 unit and additional troopers to assist in the search. A short time later, an East Fishkill detective located two males walking on Creamery Road and they were identified as the suspects and arrested.

The suspects were identified as Ryan Avery, 18, of Hopewell Junction; Jaylene Shaw, 17, of Hyde Park; Carmin Young, 17, of Poughkeepsie; and Paulina Rigoloso, 16, of Gardner. They were each charged with burglary, robbery and conspiracy, all as felonies, and menacing as a misdemeanor. All four were sent to the Dutchess County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond pending their return to court.

The incident is still under investigation, but it appears that the victim was known to at least one of the defendants and that this was not a random act.
