Sex offender charged with failing to report address change

KINGSTON – A Newburgh man was arrested on felony charges of being a sex offender who did not report a change of address, for being a sex offender who failed to mail a yearly verification sheet and for being a sex offender who failed to provide an updated photograph.

On May 7 members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office received information from the United States Marshals Service stating Leslie Dolder, a registered sex offender, failed to notify law enforcement after he had moved his residence in addition to failing to meet other requirements of the Sex Offender Registration Act.

Deputies later located Dolder, who had been living in the Town of Newburgh.

Dolder was arraigned in the Town of Rosendale Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $50,000 secured bond, to appear in the Town of Marlborough Court on a later date.

Ulster Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the United States Marshals Service and Orange County Sheriff's Office
