Don’t worry about increased tolls on the Cuomo Bridge right now, Thruway Authority says

The current $5 toll ($4.75 for E-ZPass) is collected only from eastbound travelers

TARRYTOWN – The complete transition from the Tappan Zee Bridge to the new twin-span Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge should be finalized later this year, but the current toll structure of $5 per passenger vehicle is remaining in place for now.

Earlier discussions had suggested the toll could triple to help pay for the massive project, but Thruway Authority Executive Director Matthew Driscoll said no toll hike is in the immediate future.

“We don’t need to address the tolls for a couple of years, in fact, well into 2020,” Driscoll said. “It’s way too premature to even begin that process.”

The bridge is transitioning to cashless toll collecting with motorists billed directly to their E-ZPass accounts or getting bills in the mail.
