Poughkeepsie woman arrested for animal abuse

LAGRANGE – A Poughkeepsie woman was arrested and charged with animal cruelty for allegedly starving her pitbull to death.

State Police said Erica Feliciano, 31, was charged with overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals and failure to provide proper sustenance.

On May 9, troopers received a complaint from a veterinary hospital in LaGrange regarding a possible animal abuse case. Investigation in conjunction with the veterinarian’s findings determined Feliciano’s dogs died due to a lack of sustenance for an extended time.

She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to town court.
