Texas man charged with making a terroristic threat against Rockland County Clerk’s Office

NEW CITY – An Austin, Texas man has been arrested by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office on charges of making a terroristic threat and aggravated harassment for making threats toward the Rockland County Clerk’s Office through their website.

At the time of the incident, Kim Vasquez was on New York State parole with his supervision being monitored by the state of Texas due to his relation to Austin.

The investigation revealed that Vasquez had made the threats against the Rockland Clerk’s Office, but he had also absconded from parole in Texas and was later apprehended in Congers, New York.  He has been charged with violating conditions of his parole.

Vasquez was sent to the Rockland County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
