Bronx man charged with stealing cell phones with fake ID

CORTLANDT – A Bronx man has been charged with grand larceny and other crimes for allegedly opening a line of credit using a fake identification card and an assumed identity to purchase cell phones from a Town of Cortlandt store.

State Police arrested Richard Diaz, 23, after he purchased three iPhoneX cell phones from Walmart on Main Street in Cortlandt and a fourth phone, days later.  He was sent to the Westchester County jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $7,500 bond.
