Ulster home sales up in January

KINGSTON – The number of single-family homes sold in Ulster County in January rose by 16.5 percent over January 2017, according to statistics from the Ulster County Board of Realtors.

A total of 127 homes were sold this past January compared with 109 one year earlier.

The average selling price rose by five percent, going from $236,510 in January 2017 to $248,329 this past January.

Days on the market dropped from 125 to 122, a decline of 2.4 percent.

Faster sale of homes is an indication of a good market, real estate officials say.
