Girl seriously wounded in stabbing at donut shop

NEW ROCHELLE – Police in New Rochelle are investigating an incident in which a high school girl is believed to have been stabbed another girl of about the same age.

The incident at 12:21 p.m. on Wednesday occurred at the Dunkin Donuts shop at 646 North Avenue. A store employee told officers that a dispute occurred between the two girls five minutes before they arrived and one of the girls appeared to have been stabbed and the other fled.

The victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital with injuries that police said are life threatening.
