Putnam residents alerted to possible burglars

TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – State Police from the Brewster barracks are seeking the public’s assistance concerning suspicious activity in the Town of Southeast.

Police received a call reporting two white men in their 20s walking around houses apparently looking for ways to gain entry in the areas of Larkpur Road, South Drive and South Road.

One homeowner told police the men knocked on the door and said they thought they had recently rented the home.

If residents of the area have had any contact or have information regarding similar suspicious activity, police ask that you please call Troop K Headquarters at (845) 677-7300 and ask to leave a message for Trooper Kuhlmann of SP Brewster.
