CT woman arrested for illegal gun possession

PLEASANT VALLEY – A Bridgeport, Connecticut woman has been arrested by State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks after a traffic stop when she was found in illegal possession of a semi-automatic pistol.

Yajaira Berrios, 36, was stopped at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2. She was charged with several vehicle and traffic violations as well as criminal possession of a firearm as a felony.  A police news release did not say where she was stopped.

Berrios was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
