Westchester corrections officer shot and killed in domestic incident

YONKERS – Three Westchester County corrections officers were involved in a violent domestic incident on Friday and one of them was shot and killed.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. inside a residence on Buckingham Road in Yonkers; city police are leading the investigation.

County Executive George Latimer said Edward Quinoy, 40, of Tarrytown, a 10-year member of county service, was pronounced dead at Jacobi Hospital during the overnight hours.

The two other officers involved – a man and a woman – are receiving treatment at another hospital suffering from injuries sustained in the incident.
