More new measles cases in Rockland

NEW CITY – As Rockland County continues its effort to get a handle on the spread of measles, the number of confirmed cases is now up to 88 with eight other suspected cases.

The illness first cropped up several weeks ago and is mainly concentrated in the Monsey and Spring Valley areas with a significant number of cases in the Village of New Square.

County health officials continue to urge residents with symptoms of the illness to stay home to avoid its continued spread.
