Gunpoint robbery near scene of fatal fire

POUGHKEEPSIE – An individual was robbed at gunpoint late Sunday night on Barclay Street, less than a block away from the Academy Street fire that has claimed at least four lives IN Poughkeepsie.

Detective Lieutenant Matt Clark said the victim was robbed by four men, at least two of whom were black, one of which displayed a handgun.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. Sunday but was not reported until 1:30 a.m. on Monday.

The victim was robbed of a cell phone and a pair of ear buds.
