Man who fell from bucket truck has died

MIDDLETOWN – The worker who fell some 40 feet from a bucket truck while trimming tree limbs in Middletown on Monday has died.

The victim was a 25-year-old Middletown man whose name police did not make public.

The man had been trimming trees on Highland Avenue when he fell and sustained serious injuries. He worked for JMH Trucking Tree Service in the Town of Wallkill.

“It does not appear that safety equipment was being utilized,” said Middletown Police Lt. Jeffrey Thoelen.
