Warrant search leads to arrest, drug seizures


POUGHKEEPSIE – A 22-year-old Poughkeepsie woman was arrested early Friday following execution of a search warrant at her Thompson Street residence.

Jada Christiani was charged with felony criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child as a misdemeanor.

Investigators seized over 35 grams of heroin with a street value of over $10,000, which was found hidden in a baby crib. Police also seized over a half pound of marijuana, several marijuana vape cartridges, scales, packaging equipment and cash.

Christiani was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.

The investigation was conducted by the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit and State Police Special Operations Response Team.
