FAA grant to provide funding for Kingston-Ulster Airport equipment

WASHINGTON – The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded Kingston-Ulster Airport $289,456 for winter weather equipment.

“The snow removal equipment being acquired with the grant will enable the clearing of the airport runway and taxiway in a timely manner during inclement weather and enable the airport to continue offering safe, year-round general aviation services to the community,” said airport President Frederic Zinn.

“It goes without saying that we are subject to some snowy winters in Upstate New York and the funding to Kingston-Ulster Airport means critical resources will be available to acquire the proper equipment to effectively remove snow from runways, ensuring planes can safely take off and land at the airport,” said Congressman John Faso (R, NY-19), who announced the grant.
