Saugerties woman arrested on drug sales warrant

KINGSTON – A Saugerties woman was arrested by members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team in the Village of Saugerties on Tuesday on an indictment warrant issued by Ulster County Court.

Rebekah Cavallaro, 26, was charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, both as felonies.  She was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.

Her arrest followed an investigation into heroin and opioid sales in the Village of Saugerties.

This past summer, Saugerties Police reported that on August 31, Cavallaro was found unresponsive and Narcan was administered to revive her. That was the fourth time police used the opioid reversal drug on her since they began administering it.
