Woman on probation charged with several forgeries

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Highland woman following an investigation into several forgeries committed while on probation with Ulster County.

Sheilann Jones-Blackwell, 36, was charged with the felonies of forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument.  She was arraigned and released to reappear at a later date.

Deputies had previously received a report from Ulster County Probation alleging while on probation, Jones-Blackwell forged notes for her husband, who is also on probation, excusing him for missing court mandated courses, using stationary and names from the business at which she was employed.

The investigation is continuing and authorities said additional charges are possible.
