Suspect kicks cop in the face

SAUGERTIES – A man, who tried to hide his identity from Saugerties Police following a domestic dispute at 27 Pine Tree Lane on November 8, has been arrested.

Police were called to the residence for a report that Marc Stonehouse, 53, was intoxicated and had engaged in a verbal argument with another person. Stonehouse left the residence on foot prior to the arrival of police.

While patrolling near Band Camp Road, Stonehouse was located walking along the road. He tried to hide his identity, telling police he was someone else. He refused to comply with officers and became combative engaging in a physical confrontation.  As police attempted to place him into custody, he kicked an officer in the face.

Stonehouse was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest as well as the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana. He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail.
