DWI driver triggers chain reaction crash

FALLSBURG – A Woodridge man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he struck the rear of a disabled vehicle that was being loaded on a tow truck.

Town of Fallsburg Police said Anthony Pecorella, 66, was driving an SUV on Glen Wild Road in Fallsburg and failed to move over as he approached a tow truck with its overhead yellow caution lights on, which was loaded a disabled vehicle from the shoulder of the roadway.

Pecorella’s vehicle struck the rear of the disabled vehicle causing it to hit the tow truck, which struck another vehicle.

Police charged Pecorella with DWI for driving with a blood alcohol content over .08 percent.  He was released to reappear in town court at a later date.
