SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties man was arrested Friday night after he became engaged in an altercation with his former girlfriend and her male companion.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. Friday in Stella’s Station at 150 Partition Street in the Village of Saugerties.

Saugerties Police were called for a report of a physical altercation between Bryan Ploss, 45, his ex-girlfriend and her male companion.

Ploss is alleged to have threatened the woman’s companion and spit in her face. When the bartender attempted to intercede, Ploss punched him in the face causing injuries.
