DEERPARK – A two-car crash on Neversink Drive in the Town of Deerpark Sunday morning killed a Huguenot man, State Police said.         

Matthew O’Brien, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The operator of the other vehicle, Thomas Ferrelli, 51, of Huguenot, was transported to Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis with leg injuries.

Town of Deerpark Police and Huguenot Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.

Ice may have been a factor.  Scattered icing conditions were reported throughout parts of the region, Sunday afternoon.
