Three charged in connection with Liberty burglaries

LIBERTY – Village Police in Liberty have arrested three people in connection with several burglaries that have occurred in the village over the past month.

On Wednesday, police arrested Arthur Hoffman, 19, of Monticello, and two Liberty men, ages 18 and 15.

Hoffman and the 15-year-old are both charged with two count of second-degree burglaries and two counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, all felonies.

The 18-year-old was charged with four counts of burglary in the second degree, three counts of grand larceny, all felonies, and one count of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Hoffman and the 18-year-old were remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail while the 15-year-old was released to his parents with his case being handled by the Sullivan County Family Court.
